Ms. Pfister is a 7th and 8th-grade Spanish teacher and she says Spanish is an important language that all students should learn. She decided to become a Spanish teacher when she was in high school because she enjoyed all her Spanish classes in elementary school and middle school. She went to college in Pennsylvania at Kutztown University. She found it to be very challenging and also extremely rewarding, especially learning a second language.  She also traveled with her best friend to Spain after her senior year.  She enjoyed it so much that her parents told her about their days at school because they were teachers also. These are the reasons why she decided to become a teacher.

Being a teacher means that every day she can help young kids to become more of themselves. Her favorite part of teaching is making connections with the kids and getting to know them while also supporting them. She thinks the most frustrating part of teaching is when she sees that the kids aren’t getting a topic and she is trying to think of ways to teach it differently. She loves to go shopping and walk with her dog Penny. The word that best describes her is “independent” because she always likes to do things on her own and she doesn’t really ask for help.
